Creativity Meditation Monday

IMG_0383

Welcome to my first ever podcast! Every Monday for the next couple of weeks, I’m going to share with you a series of Creativity Meditations. It’s an experiment with my own creativity too, so anything could happen! Hopefully you will enjoy it and if you have any ideas/feedback, please feel free to let me know! Thanks!

This Monday, I invite you to take some time out to attune to your own heart and have a little creative fun and nourish yourself with today’s Creativity Meditation (which is approximately 7 minutes long!). In the first few minutes of the mediation, we will take time to quiet the breath and then, you will be invited to pick up your paint brush and paint in concert with the movement of your breath.

First, gather together the supplies you will want to have for this meditation:

1. water color paper

2. watercolor or fluid acrylic paints (and a palette of some sort to put the paint on!)

3. a paint brush

4. a cup of water and paper towels

Now, find a comfortable place to sit where you can be quiet and still and listen to this podcast. Place your supplies neatly in front of you. Now we are ready to start!

ohhh... I'm at work so I can't listen to it now, but I'll definitely check it out later. Very cool :) and techy ;)

I can see that you are really expanding upon what you imagined your blog to be. That's wonderful! My internet is too slow to support the webcast, but I think it is a great idea!

i am laughing here because i too am at work and cannot do the podcast now (another reason i need to find someone to pay me for staying home and creating!)

I love your asana inspired images ... i too study and teach yoga and have found in the past year my art "play" has been overlapping with my studies on the mat. my lineage embraces the notion of cultivating the inner teacher and now that voice has empowered me to embrace my creative self. i cannot wait to see what you come up with on your journey.

so i will now eagerly await the end of my work day and dash home to listen to your podcast!

(one of the reasons i started a blog is to explore how my yoga practice informs/supports my parenting and also how i can translate the teachings to my 5 year old daughter. i would love your feedback if you ever get a chance to read my work ... i post those bits on fridays)

What a fabulous idea to have a mediation while painting. I listened to your meditation but I don't have my art supplies in front me. Will have to check out your blog again.

Just seeing this on Friday - I'm always behind, sigh! This seems like a lot of fun, I'll have to give it a try this weekend :-)
